The Arduino UNO R3 is the board most people learn electronics on — and for good reason. It is built around the ATmega328P, an 8-bit AVR microcontroller running at 16 MHz, with 32 KB of flash memory for your sketches, 2 KB of SRAM and 1 KB of EEPROM for data that must survive a power cut.

The UNO works at 5 V logic, which makes it directly compatible with the huge range of sensors, relays, motor drivers and shields designed for it. It gives you 14 digital input/output pins (6 of them with PWM) and 6 analog inputs, and it can be powered from USB, from a 7–12 V adapter through the DC jack, or through the VIN pin.

Features

  • ATmega328P 8-bit microcontroller at 16 MHz
  • 14 digital I/O pins, including 6 PWM outputs (pins 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11)
  • 6 analog inputs (A0–A5) with 10-bit resolution
  • UART, I²C (A4/A5) and SPI (pins 10–13) communication
  • Flexible power: USB, DC barrel jack (7–12 V) or VIN pin, with onboard 5 V and 3.3 V outputs
  • Standard header layout compatible with Arduino shields
  • Supported natively by the Arduino IDE — no extra board package needed
